What Mike Pence is really trying to do to Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Adam Schiff is apparently optimistic about the chance that former Vice President Mike Pence will testify before the January 6 committee. Speaking with CNN, Schiff said Pence’s words were “encouraging.” “I was encouraged to hear it, and I hope it meant what it sounded like it meant.” “We have been in discussion with the vice president’s counsel for some time,” Schiff said.

I happen to think Pence might actually testify. Mike Pence would really have little to lose by testifying. As Trump’s popularity shrinks and an indictment looms ever-closer, he might just decide to do it.

There would definitely be an appeal for Pence to testify. He is likely to run for president, and though he does not stand a snowball’s chance in hell at ever winning, he must know that by testifying, it would help him do damage control in having been Trump’s Vice President in the first place.

And indeed, the testimony would be mesmerizing. Imagine the things Pence could tell us. The whole country would tune in.

There is no guarantee, of course. But the fact is, the possibility of Mike Pence testifying is being talked about more and more, and if Pence wanted to put a stop to that, he could have a long time ago. So yes, I believe it is more than possible. I think it’s probable. And this is just one more thing guaranteed to drive Donald Trump insane.
