What is Donald Trump so afraid of?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump specifically and illegally asked the FBI not to investigate Michael Flynn to begin with. Trump never attacked Flynn, even after he cut a plea deal against Trump. When Flynn decided he couldn’t handle the minimal prison sentence he was facing, Trump had Barr illegally try to get Flynn off the hook. When that failed, Trump pardoned Flynn without hesitation, even as Trump’s other underlings are still left begging for their pardons. Now, in Trump’s final days before being kicked out of office, Trump is consulting with Flynn.

This is all despite the fact that Flynn is so useless, he only lasted three weeks in the Trump White House before getting the boot. This is despite the fact that Flynn is such a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory crackpot, his nonsensical ideas for saving Trump make Rudy Giuliani look useful in comparison.

The biggest question right now is why Donald Trump is so beholden to, and afraid of, Michael Flynn. If the answer to that question can be figured out, it’ll help explain a whole lot of why Trump has behaved the way he has over the past four years.
