What happens after January 6th
At this point there’s a ton of false importance being placed on January 6th, by people on both sides, even though in reality it’s a day of no consequence whatsoever.
Trump’s allies in Congress will whine for a few hours, which is the only thing they’re constitutionally able to do, and the results will be certified by day’s end. Trump’s goons will take to the streets, in much smaller numbers than predicted, and there will be no wide scale violence because there never is.
Here’s the disturbing part. After nothing of any consequence happens on January 6th, Trump will then falsely claim he can somehow magically have himself sworn in on January 20th, or some other fictional silliness. The fantasizers on his side, and the panickers on our side, will then waste another two weeks obsessing over something imaginary. I urge you not to be among those panickers. It’s simply counter productive.
