What Elon Musk doesn’t get
WHY ME? These words may as well have been uttered by Elon Musk, who is expressing bewilderment that people don’t like him. “I never hurt anybody!” Ah, Musk. You lie like Pinocchio. Has your nose expanded yet into outer space?
You know, in ancient Greek Mythology, there was nothing the Gods hated more than a liar. Zeus, mighty God of the sky, and the leader of all Gods, especially did not like lies. When lies were told, he and other Gods became angry, soaring through the sky in fiery waves of color as Zeus, thunderbolt in hand, and his fellow Gods, would descend onto the hapless liar and punish them, often by turning them into donkeys, plants, horses, spiders, or anything else they so desired.
Musk is being turned into a whiner. Seriously, have you noticed how utterly WHINY Musk has become? Nobody likes a whiner, Elon; you can be sure of that. And I have something to say about ALL of this.
The people burning Tesla’s should go to jail. Violence is never acceptable; it is a dangerous and foolhardy way to express one’s opposition. I deplore violence. But Elon is wrong in that he never hurt anyone. He is SO SO wrong.
Maybe not PHYSICALLY. But I’ll tell you, he’s done plenty to hurt people EMOTIONALLY. Emotional pain can often be as brutal as physical pain. All one has to do is pick up any psychology book to understand that . In Elon’s case, he HAS hit people — in their pocketbooks.
Think about all the people he has arrogantly put out of jobs with an imperious wave of his fingers. Think about the tears that have likely been wept, the people whose lives have been upended. Think of the pain and horror of what one billionaire, with a heart as impenetrable as a rock, has DONE to people.
Musk doesn’t get it. I bet he does not even SEE these people as humans with feelings. He is in fact, acting like a Greek God —always a dangerous proposition because humans are NOT gods, no matter how much Trump and Musk would like it to be so.
Musk has destroyed peoples’ lives, wounding many, and here he is, bewilderment plastered to his face, thinking himself one of the GOOD guys? Oh, HUBRIS. Elon Musk needs to understand that the American people despise him. He must also understand—though I really do question whether he ever has the capacity to understand—that it is nobody’s fault but his own sorry ass.
