What did they think was going to happen?

Trump voters are whining because they just realized how much they screwed up. They say that what he has done over the last three weeks “w[as] not what we signed up for.” Question: Just what in the hell did you think you were signing up for? About the only thing that has changed about Donald Trump is his level of hatefulness. Other than that, they have no right to complain about chaos, as Trump has been the master of that since he came on the scene. Not surprisingly, people are also upset about the power exhibited by Elon Musk, someone for whom no one voted. Things are not going well for Donald Trump, but most of us expected this.
According to Raw Story, job growth was weaker than expected, and consumer confidence is “souring” as prices either remain high or are going even higher. As an example of a soured consumer, Raw Story quoted Paul Bisson, who lives in San Antonio and is 58 years old: “I don’t like the turbulence. I don’t like the chaos in the market,” as he pointed at a photo of Trump. Bisson had hoped to retire soon, but he will be putting it off. Any retirees or almost retirees (like Bisson) should have known better than to vote for Donald Trump. During the debate, Trumped talked about Springfield residents eating pets while Kamala Harris talked economics and what she planned to do for working people.
What in those two statements made Bisson vote for Trump? Does he eat pets too? This is utterly ridiculous. This man had already been in office once and was an embarrassing disaster. Now, the people who stupidly voted for him again are the disasters. Another Trump voter, Sanjay Dayal, owns an electric vehicle charging company, and is concerned because his stock market investments are down. He told the Wall Street Journal: “It feels like we don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.” Oh, we know, even if Dayal doesn’t: More chaos, more turbulence, more getting nothing done.
The Associated Press reported that Latino evangelicals feel “devastated and abandoned” by Trump. They are beginning to see that Trump doesn’t keep his word (what a shock). Instead of going after criminal illegals, he’s going after all illegals, including going into churches and schools to find them. Bishop Ebli De La Rosa oversees the Church of God Prophecy, which has congregations in nine southeastern states. As it turns out, 32 of his 70 pastors are illegal. De La Rosa said that many pastors are holding services behind locked doors, fearful that immigration will come knocking at any time.
Both these groups of people who voted for Donald Trump put their trust in the wrong man. None of this comes as a surprise to those of us who didn’t want him back in office. He could care less about illegal criminals; he despises all immigrants, other than those he married. He is a despicable human being, and if his mouth is open, he’s lying. Why anyone believed Trump and voted for him will forever remain a mystery.
