What a dick!

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is a dick. Yes, that’s stating the obvious. You don’t have to be a medical professional to figure out that the guy is a malignant narcissist, as well as being somewhere between a sociopath and a psychopath. What’s freakish is that, even with what all we’ve come to expect from him, it seems to be getting worse since he lost the midterms, putting his political future and freedom in doubt.

If you have an ounce of empathy, you found yourself disturbed by reports that large chunks of California are on fire, entire cities are being evacuated, and people are probably going to die. Then there’s Donald Trump, who decided that his first statement about the fires as “President” of the United States would be this tweet: “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”

Oh come on, man. Even if there is a bureaucracy issue in need of fixing here – and it looks like Trump is just making it up anyway – this is what he thinks leadership looks like? Ranting and raving about cutting off funding while people are in the process of fleeing their homes? Then for his next trick, Trump tweeted this: “I am in Paris getting ready to celebrate the end of World War One. Is there anything better to celebrate than the end of a war, in particular that one, which was one of the bloodiest and worst of all time?” Yeah, that’s not even human.

This comes after Donald Trump’s most deranged press conference ever, his worst assault on a reporter to date, and a week which has in general made clear that he’s unraveling. It’s not just that he’s panicking and falling apart. He’s somehow managed to take his petty dickishness to a whole new level. If nothing else, it’s a sign that he thinks he’s losing.
