We’re in the endgame now
Now that the Manhattan District Attorney has empaneled a grand jury to criminally indict Donald Trump, the mainstream media is doing its usual routine of slow walking and downplaying things. What if the grand jury is somehow only in place to indict someone else? What if the grand jury somehow doesn’t indict anyone at all?
But at this point, this kind of ratings-driven fear mongering is irrelevant. In reality, prosecutors only empanel a grand jury to bring indictments if they already have enough evidence for indictments. And grand juries bring indictments about 99% of the time when asked to by prosecutors. Donald Trump will be indicted, arrested, and placed on trial. And he’s facing the kinds of financial charges that are near automatic convictions. Trump is on a glide path to prison.
The process will still take time. Nothing in the legal system happens at a swift pace. But as former Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Signorelli tweeted in response to the news, this is a “late stage development” in what has been a very long process of criminally indicting Donald Trump in Manhattan. Or, as Dr. Strange once famously said to Iron Man, we’re in the endgame now.
