“We’re getting creamed!”
When this writer was relatively young, I did some local school acting . I happened to be an ardent fan of theater and was a member of my school drama club, which I am confident the GOP would have banned if they could. Anyway, we put on some excellent plays.
In one of those plays, the particular character I played was a starlet whose dream was to make it in Hollywood. But she put in no effort; she was more concerned with sucking up to directors and producers without putting in the work that’s always necessary so her chances were pretty moot.
Sort of like the GOP. The GOP puts NO work into their efforts. They are actors, and what they’re acting out is misogyny, laziness, sloth, and sucking up — sucking up in very cavalier and ardent ways to the one who destroyed them, though they may not realize they’ve been destroyed. That is Donald Trump.
So yes, the GOP world is a stage, and they are Trump’s most soulless players. One of them, in particular, has been playing a new role lately that you might be interested in knowing about since it tells us how the GOP’s election campaigns are going.
“We’re getting creamed!” Ah, Lindsey Graham. This ONE time, perhaps you are NOT acting. “Wake-up call!” Graham appeared on — where else — Fox to BEG — BEG for cash. Perhaps he thinks Fox watchers will save the day! Ah – if only it were that simple.
“We’re getting creamed on the Senate when it comes to raising money.” Well, that’s telling it like it is, wouldn’t you agree? “When it comes to raising money in Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan, our candidates are being outraised!”
Oh no! Has Graham ever considered that his candidates are mostly obtuse losers who the American people may not personally like? This was my favorite Graham line of the night and it also shows Lindsey’s flair for emoting — emoting NUMBERS.
“We’re getting creamed and outspent four and five and six and eight and 10 to one.” Wow. Those are some excellent counting skills. Lindsey! Naturally, Lindsey Graham’s theatrical portrayal of Donald Trump and his new role as the GOP’s panhandler caused a lot of amusement to ripple through Twitter: “Pearl clutching on steroids.”
I’ll say! Lindsey appeared watery-eyed and shaken. I mean, when one has to beg like Graham begged, shamelessly without ANY inhibitions, well, one can’t help but surmise that perhaps things are not looking rosy in the land of GOP money.
Lindsey’s lament did send have an unforeseen consequence.It sent many Democrats to their wallets to donate to Kamala Harris and Senate and House candidates, as many of them said on social media.
Seriously, Lindsey, grow up! Denounce Trump already! Who will you choose to hang onto when he’s in prison? You will have to find someone new. I know that must scare you, but that time is almost here. Most people will not be persuaded by a scowling and tearful Graham on Fox, begging audiences to step it up. But the Democrats are swimming in money.
