Donald Trump just went into hiding again

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

At a time when the nation is in total upheaval, and the one thing Americans are increasingly agreeing on is that Donald Trump is a part of the problem, one would think he’d be out there right now trying to turn things around. After all, he’s currently on track to lose the election, and then go to prison after he loses. So he has plenty on the line.

But instead, Trump has decided to go into hiding today yet again. The White House announced a full lid at 11am eastern time today, which means that neither Trump nor anyone else from his regime is planning to say anything or do anything today in public view.

This might be for the best, considering how thoroughly Donald Trump keeps making things even worse – for himself and for the country – whenever he tries to interject himself into matters. But it seems pretty clear that he’s not even trying right now. For a guy who’s already known to hide in an underground bunker while building a fence around himself, the symbolism is just too on the nose.
