Well, we’re in it now
Because we’ve never before seen anyone with the particular combination of psychological failings, malicious tendencies, and array of derangements that define Donald Trump, it can be difficult to figure out where his ongoing mental breakdown is heading. But last night Trump went so far off the deep end, even by his standards, you have to wonder how much he’s got left.
Here’s a sampling of some of the things that Donald Trump tweeted last night – and if you’re wondering about their meaning within full context, well, there really isn’t any: “I thought I was doing something very good” … “Crazed and Irrational hostility” … “I do like Russian people” … “Never give up” … and just for added measure, “Hillary’s gone Crazy!”
If you encountered someone on the sidewalk who was ranting at you incoherently like this, you’d back away slowly – and you’d consider calling the authorities, for the safety of everyone involved. Donald Trump is not well. He hasn’t ever been well, really. But amid the worsening pressure of a failed presidency, impeachment, and criminal charges awaiting him after he’s gone from office, he’s getting worse by the day.
The guy just keeps foaming at the mouth, going from sullenly lamenting to angrily lashing out and back again, all in one increasingly crazed rant. In one sense, Donald Trump’s worsening instability makes him arguably more dangerous than ever. But it’s also a sign that he’s closer to collapse than ever. The Resistance has come this far; now it’s time to step up our efforts at peaceful and organized protest, and finish this guy off.
