Welcome to the new Palmer Report commenting system
Dear Palmer Report readers,
Thank you for your patience of late, as we made every effort possible to revive the old comment system. After receiving confirmation from developers that it wouldn’t be fixable any time soon, we made the decision to move to the Disqus comment system, which we launched yesterday.
Based on your responses, it appears most of you are very happy with the new Disqus system, which provides commenters with a number of options that the old system didn’t have.
Please keep in mind that we’re still working out some minor kinks in the new system, which could take the rest of the week. Our goal is to make it so that legitimate comments show up immediately and never need to be manually approved, without making the setup so loose that spam comments mistakenly get auto-approved. Needless to say, this will take some fine tuning. In the meantime, I’ll ask you not to email me about any such issues with the new comment section; we’re already working on it.
The new comment section is an exciting new development, and I hope you all end up liking it.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer
