Welcome to hell, Mick Mulvaney

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Americans have all been in hell since the day Donald Trump was illegitimately named the winner of the 2016 election. The thing is, now that the impeachment tide has turned, it’s Donald Trump and his people who are the ones burning. Now it’s time to welcome Trump’s Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to the hell we’ve all been living through.

The House impeachment inquiry subpoenaed the White House today for documents in relation to Donald Trump’s Ukraine scandal. We already know that Trump is going to blow this off. The thing is, the subpoena wasn’t sent to Trump. According to how the House Democrats announced the whole thing today, the subpoena wasn’t sent to Trump – it was sent to Mick Mulvaney.

This means that Mick Mulvaney, a coward and a weakling who’s afraid of his own shadow, is now criminally liable if Donald Trump tells him to ignore this subpoena. In other words, Mulvaney is going to prison for obstruction of justice after Trump is ousted, unless he decides to defy Trump and cooperate with the subpoena.

We’ll see if Mick Mulvaney decides to publicly or privately cave to the House impeachment inquiry. If he fails to find a way tock cooperate, he’ll do time behind bars – unless he’s willing to bet his future on a mythical Trump pardon, and no one really expects Trump to stop and save someone like Mulvaney on his way down the drain.
