Here comes Donald Trump’s week from hell
Over the past week Donald Trump has been caught committing treason with two different foreign nations, he’s seen impeachment start against him, he’s seen pro-impeachment poll numbers skyrocket, he’s seen his surrogates fail to make any impact by defending him, and he’s been frustrated enough to throw a tantrum over an apostrophe that he thought was a hyphen. As bad as this past week has been for him, this upcoming week is about to be even worse for him.
The release of the whistleblower report informed us all that the Trump regime has been storing incriminating evidence of Donald Trump’s conversations with foreign leaders on a secret server. This kind of thing has served to point the media in the right direction when it comes to piecing together what’s on that server. It’s also motivated Trump’s own current and/or former people to do the right thing and begin leaking what they know about those conversations, as evidenced by the subsequent revelation about Trump and the Russians. But that’s just the half of it.
There are already reports that Kurt Volker, who just resigned from the State Department, is planning to testify to the House this week about what Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani were really doing with Ukraine. Volker is in position to know, considering how Rudy dragged him into the mess to begin with.
At this point it’s a race to see whether Donald Trump will be taken down first by what the media uncovers, or what Trump’s people unofficially leak to the media, or what Trump’s people officially tell the House impeachment inquiry. This is all happening quickly now. Here comes Donald Trump’s week from hell.
