Even before Donald Trump went senile, he was always a total deer in the headlights when it came to Russian President Vladimir Putin. That’s because Trump is afraid of Putin, for reasons that are sort of painfully obvious.

Putin is severely weakened these days, thanks to his failing invasion of Ukraine. So Putin is trying to distract from his vulnerability and make himself look strong by doing things like murdering political opponent Alexei Navalny. Now that Putin is back in the headlines again, Trump’s primary opponent Nikki Haley is calling Trump out for being Putin’s puppet:

“Weak in the knees.” That sounds about right. We’ve been saying since day one that the most effective way to take down Donald Trump politically is not to talk about how “dangerously powerful” he is, but to talk about how embarrassingly weak he is. That’s the kind of talk that finishes off a right wing political figure, and always has been.
