How we knew Roger Stone was going to be arrested

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Although the mainstream media is still just barely acknowledging it, Roger Stone is about to be arrested. Stone acknowledged as much on Meet The Press this weekend, saying he’s “prepared” for his inevitable indictment and arrest. The mainstream media is still barely touching this story, presumably because it won’t make for good ratings until someone has actually been sent after him with handcuffs. Of course last week Palmer Report rather loudly asserted that Stone was indeed about to be arrested. We keep getting asked how we knew.

As is usually the case, we weren’t working with any inside sourcing. We simply paid attention to the clear pattern that had been developing in Robert Mueller’s grand jury proceedings over the past two months. First Mueller hauled in Stone’s longtime friend Sam Nunberg, which we learned about when Nunberg announced it on television in famously frazzled fashion. Then a major newspaper reported that a second unnamed Stone associate, who may or may not have been Randy Credico, had also testified. Then we learned that Mueller had detained Stone associate Ted Malloch at an airport. But this was just the beginning.

What if it was just a coincidence that Mueller kept hauling in Stone associates? All these Legion of Doom types seem to be connected to each other in one way or another. Then came the definitive answer. Over the past week we’ve seen major media reports that Mueller subpoenaed Stone’s social media guy to testify, and then he subpoenaed Stone’s driver to testify. There would be no reason to haul them before the grand jury, unless Stone is a primary target of the grand jury. Oh, and the witnesses closest to the target are usually hauled in last, which means the process is near the end.

It’s how Roger Stone figured out that he’s about to be arrested. It’s how Palmer Report figured it out as well. The mainstream media may have collectively reported each of these witnesses, but it never identified the pattern which spells out that Stone is the target. Logically speaking, Mueller’s most recently subpoenaed witnesses are likely his final ones against Stone. But they still have yet to testify, meaning Stone’s arrest is probably still a few weeks out. Perhaps that’s why the mainstream media isn’t yet talking about it, even though all the pieces are right there, and even Stone knows it.
