We did it – and not a moment too soon
Joe Biden is President of the United States. Kamala Harris is Vice President of the United States. It’s official. It’s a done deal. The last guy, whose name doesn’t even need to be mentioned in this moment, is officially gone. We did it.
To give you an idea of just how many challenges and crises America faces right now, President Biden used the majority of his inaugural speech to acknowledge and address them all. America is in a tough spot. But now we have hope. And not just the longer term hope that we’ve had for the past few months, but immediate hope now.
President Biden will spend the next few days signing executive orders as quickly as possible, in order to undo the previous guy’s damage, and to immediately address the crises we’re facing. Later today the Democrats will take control of the Senate, opening the door for sweeping legislation, assistance, and reform to be passed into law.
Hope is back. America is in the arena again. Joe Biden, the right person for the right time, is now President of the United States. Kamala Harris is the first woman, the first Black woman, and the first Asian woman Vice President. Long overdue progress is finally happening. The sun is starting to come up in America, and not a moment too soon.
