Donald Trump Jr has a “Watergate” problem
Some people just don’t know how to shut up when they’re behind. For instance, Rudy Giuliani. We trust that reference doesn’t need further explanation. Then there’s the case of Donald Trump Jr. This week we learned that Junior held a second meeting with foreign governments during the election to try to rig the outcome in his father’s favor. If ever there was a time for Junior to shut up and lay low, this is it. But alas, he doesn’t know that he’s the dumb one, so here we go.
Trump Junior still hasn’t said anything about his second treason meeting, which is a smart move for once. Instead, now that Junior has been caught firmly playing a central role in a criminal election rigging scandal, he’s decided that now is a good time to begin talking about Watergate. No, really.
After some Fox News buffoon posted this tweet, Junior decided to retweet it: “Imagine for a moment that the media worked with the Nixon admin to cover up the Watergate break in? That’s what is happening now. The media is helping Obama, Clapper, Comey, Hillary, etc. cover up their illegal spying on @realDonaldTrump. Yes, this is WAY worse than Watergate!”
It’s almost as if Donald Trump Jr isn’t aware that the Watergate break-in was an attempt at illegally acquiring information about a presidential election opponent. Then again, we wouldn’t expect him to know his history, or really, know anything at all. After all, Junior thought that if he blocked Palmer Report on Twitter, we’d stop writing about his dumb tweets. Nice try, Watergate boy.
