Vivek Ramaswamy runs and hides
Last month Vivek Ramaswamy pulled the plug on his scheduled TV advertising in Iowa and New Hampshire, a sign that his campaign is running out of money. That’s not surprising, given that his Republican primary poll numbers were never particularly good to begin with, and actually got worse once he started appearing in debates.
At this point Ramaswamy needs a strong debate performance in order to breathe new life into his dying campaign. Instead he’s backing out of the next debate, claiming that host CNN has been too mean to him.
Whatever. This is obviously not a serious campaign. Media outlets like CNN built Vivek Ramaswamy to begin with by endlessly hyping him and giving him free airtime. Now that they’ve turned on him, he shouldn’t be complaining. In any case, this now looks like the end of his campaign.
