Donald Trump posts whacked out new video of himself after his whistleblower scandal takes an ugly new turn
Donald Trump was kind enough to go eight hours without tweeting today, as he presumably spent the time cheating at golf. But then some truly ugly news broke for him late this afternoon, and not long afterward, Trump posted an utterly bizarre video of himself ranting in frantic fashion.
Things took a sharp turn in an ugly direction for Donald Trump when his Attorney General Bill Barr told the AP that he’s “surprised an angry” at Trump for having released records this week which incriminate Barr in the whistleblower scandal. If you’re Trump, does it get any worse than learning that your fixer โ who knows your biggest criminal secrets โ now feels like you’ve betrayed him? Then came the video.
Forty-four minutes after the Bill Barr news broke, Donald Trump tweeted a video of himself standing in front of the White House and ranting about the “single greatest scam” in American history. Trump went on to claim that the Democrats want to take away your guns, your health care, your vote, your freedom, your judges, and your “everything.” These are the ramblings of a madman, of course. The video is barely half a minute long, and yet it features multiple jump cuts, suggesting that Trump couldn’t get all the way through the script in a single take, and multiple takes had to be spliced together.
Notably, the video appears to have been shot before the Bill Barr news broke โ which means that Donald Trump and his remaining loyalists no longer even know what they’re responding to. Whoever is helping Trump run what’s left of his freak show at this point, it’s clear that Trump is in no shape to fight back against impeachment. In fact he may not even be able to fight back against his own Attorney General.
