Donald Trump posts completely whacked out video after Nancy Pelosi announces he’s being impeached

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Late this afternoon, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced in front of the cameras that Donald Trump is being impeached for having tried to criminally conspire with the president of Ukraine to alter the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Suffice it to say that Trump didn’t take the news well. Interestingly, he didn’t even take the news coherently.

After Donald Trump was done tweeting absurd things like “PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT” and seemingly blaming his impeachment on Maxine Waters of all people, he got down to tweeting a video that he appears to think represents a solid counterargument for him. But the video turns out to be, well, less than convincing.

Donald Trump’s video is essentially just ninety seconds of various Democrats calling for Trump’s impeachment, some of them in slow motion, as if this were somehow proof that impeachment… shouldn’t happen? Then Trump himself appeared at the end of the video, in footage from one of his earlier rallies, insisting that if impeachment happens it’ll somehow magically help him instead of hurting him.

This video was clearly created in advance, with the expectation that the impeachment announcement was coming. It’s not just that Donald Trump’s remaining handlers are such intellectual weaklings, they thought this whacked out video was going to help him. It’s that Trump is so far gone, he signed off on this idiotic video. You can watch it here, although you’re probably better off if you don’t.
