Vengeful, incompetent, corrupt, and just plain evil

The Trump administration seems to like acronyms. Here’s a new one for them: VICE, which stands for Vengeful, Incompetent, Corrupt, and Evil. Hey, if the acronym fits, wear it, and it certainly fits Trump and his administration of incompetence. First, we find out that his national security team added a journalist to a classified call about striking an enemy. Contrary to what Trump would have us believe, SignalGate is far from over. Once something like this happens, it cannot be buried by the people involved. Once the press got wind of it, they ran with it.

According to both Washington Post and Wall Street Journal, this was not the first time Waltz set up chats. In fact, they report that there have been at least 20 such chats, and they also included sensitive information. WaPo alleges that this incompetence goes beyond SignalGate to Gmail. WaPo reported that Waltz and his staff used Gmail to send sensitive messages. Gasp! Using personal email to send protected information? Isn’t this what Trump gave Hillary Clinton hell for? Trump needs to get his people in check.

Gerry Connolly (D-VA), who is the House Oversight Committee Ranking Member, give us Vengeful, Corrupt, and Evil. Connolly obtained internal emails that involve acting SSA Commissioner Leland Dudek ordering cancellation of enumeration at birth and electronic death registration contracts for the state of Maine. According to Common Ground, Dudek was warned that his action “would result in improper payments and potential identity theft,” and he emailed back: “Please cancel the contracts. While our improper payments will go up, and fraudsters may compromise identities, no money will go from the public trust to a petulant child.” He is referring to Governor Janet Mills, who stood up to Trump after he threatened to suspend federal funding to Maine unless the state banned transgender girls and women from participating in female sports teams.

Instead of checking a box at the hospital after birth, new parents had to drag their newborns into social security offices to have them registered for social security numbers. It is likely that Governor Mills is done with childbearing, so this vile, evil, corrupt action doesn’t hurt her. Instead, it hurt innocent people who have nothing to do with Trump or his pathetic administration. The president of Social Security Works explained the effect much better: “The people actually punished by these actions were exhausted new parents in Maine, forced to drag their newborns to overcrowded Social Security offices in the middle of a measles outbreak.”

This is what folks elected to president, a small, petty, vengeful man, and he wants people like him in his cabinet. Dudek certainly fits the bill. This pretty much sums up the Trump administration and their care for the people of the nation. Gerry Connolly has asked for Dudek’s immediate resignation. In his letter to Dudek, Connolly wrote: “[Dudek] ordered these contracts terminated as direct retaliation for Mills’ defiance, even though you knew that doing so would increase improper payments and create opportunities for fraudsters.” These are the members of VICE. They’re running our country and will continue to wreak havoc for the next four years.
