Donald Trump Jr is back from vacation and he’s being as stupid as ever

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

One week ago, Donald Trump Jr posted a tweet declaring that it was “Mountain time. See you in a week.” It seemed more than a bit strange that he would decide to skip town at a time when his own father had just incriminated him in a treasonous plot, instead hunkering down with his attorneys. But sure enough, he went quiet the entire time. Now he’s back in town, and, well, he’s being as stupid as ever.

Donald Trump Jr’s first tweet upon returning from vacation was a conspiracy theory trying to tie former CIA Director John Brennan, his father’s new favorite target, to the Benghazi attack. This suggests that Junior is still every bit as much in lock-step with Donald Trump’s deranged delusions as ever. It seems Junior still hasn’t figured out that his father is trying to scapegoat him for Trump-Russia, or Junior is simply in denial about how he’s been betrayed.

As if he felt the need to further drive home the point about just how far removed he is from reality, Donald Trump Jr then retweeted a piece of propaganda that he didn’t appear to understand was propaganda. DNC Chair Tom Perez tweeted “Let’s be clear: Women are leading the Democratic Party” along with a montage of the sheer number of female candidates who have been scoring major victories for the party. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel then retorted that “A woman is actually leading the Republican Party,” trying to play up the fact that the male-dominated and overwhelmingly anti-woman GOP has chosen a token woman as its Chair.

Donald Trump Jr dutifully retweeted this, seemingly thinking that McDaniel’s token position somehow means the brutally misogynistic Republican Party is somehow the Party of Women. The problem here is that Don Jr appears to truly believe the ludicrous nonsense that Donald Trump and the GOP are churning out to try to muddy the waters. No wonder Junior has found himself first in line among the Trump family for a prison cell; he’s too stupid to understand what the game even is.
