Is Donald Trump about to get unmasked?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Because Donald Trump has cultivated the kind of selfish bottom-feeding supporters who think they’re too special to wear a mask while in public, he has to keep those losers happy by never wearing a mask himself. This has created controversy during his two most recent factory visits, and it’s probably making the people in his White House sicker. Now it may be about to blow back on him.

Trump has decided to tour a Ford Motor Company factory in Michigan, because he wants to play up the fact that Ford has been using its plant to manufacture ventilators. As you recall, Trump let numerous Americans die by refusing to send ventilators to the hardest hit cities, yet now he’s calling himself the king of ventilators.” In any case, Ford isn’t exactly thrilled about his visit.

Ford has not only told Donald Trump that he must wear a mask during his factory visit, it’s publicly announced that Trump will be required to wear a mask. This is Ford’s way of fending off what Mike Pence tried to do at the Mayo Clinic, where he refused to wear a mask, then tried to pretend he hadn’t been told he needed to wear one.

Trump’s meek response to Ford’s public demand that he wear a mask: “I don’t know … we’ll see.” If Ford stands its ground, we won’t be shocked if Trump ends up calling off the visit. Yes, he’s desperate to get a high profile photo op in Michigan, where he’s losing the election badly and needs to win. But he’s probably too narcissistic to be willing to wear a mask just to get that photo op.
