Second whistleblower is someone right under Donald Trump’s nose

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Tonight the news broke that a second Ukraine whistleblower is preparing to come forward, and that this person has already met with the Intel Community Inspector General and corroborated the first whistleblower’s story. The New York Times article that broke this story states that the second whistleblower had more detailed knowledge about the Ukraine than the first one. Now another key detail about this new whistleblower has come out.

One of the authors of the article, Michael Schmidt, appeared on the Lawrence O’Donnell show late on Friday night to discuss the story. Schmidt stated that “The person who filed the initial complaint is someone that was at the CIA, who was not at the White House, who was not intimately involved with this.” In other words, this second whistleblower is someone who does work directly for the White House, and who has direct access to things like Donald Trump’s phone calls with world leaders.

We’re not interested in speculating about specific names when it comes to the second whistleblower, but it’s clear that this is someone who is right under Trump’s nose – both in terms of physically being in the White House, and in terms of having a sensitive position in his administration.

Keep in mind that the NY Times article identifies this person as an “intelligence official,” so it’s not going to turn out to be one of Trump’s political advisers. It’ll probably turn out to be someone that most of us haven’t heard of. But that doesn’t change the fact that this person knows all about what Trump has been doing.
