Trump White House doctor just threw Rand Paul under the bus

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

While Republican Senator Rand Paul was waiting a week for his coronavirus test results, he kept showing up to Senate meetings, using Senate exercise equipment, and potentially exposing an untold number of people, all before ultimately learning that he had tested positive.

During today’s press conference, a reporter asked Donald Trump why Rand Paul was able to get tested when he wasn’t having any symptoms. Trump ducked the question, and White House coronavirus task force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx answered the question instead.

Dr. Birx directly accused Rand Paul of having failed to follow the official Trump White House social distancing guidelines, which she was holding in her hand. She then took things further with a lecture about “personal responsibility” that appeared to be aimed directly at Paul. She also asserted that if Paul wasn’t taking his temperature during the week he was waiting for his test results, he can’t claim that he had no symptoms.

We kept waiting to see if Donald Trump jumped back in and defended Rand Paul on any level, but it didn’t happen. The Trump White House just threw Rand Paul under the bus, and suddenly Trump no longer had any positive things to say about Rand Paul. This isn’t surprising; Trump never shows any loyalty to anyone when the chips are down.
