Ukraine stamps
It’s the little things that sometimes make all the difference. One of those things is sending mail. What does one do when one sends out a piece of mail? Well — the first thing is one puts the the correspondence in an envelope. Then one puts a stamp on it. And it is stamps that are making the difference for the Ukrainian people — and their postal service.
Per Business insider, the postal service of Ukraine will be releasing new stamps. But these are no ordinary stamps. These stamps stand for audacity – for defiance and for freedom. They stand for never — ever — giving in. You see, these stamps will have a message on them.
What is this message? “Russian warship. go f#ck yourself.” The audacity of the Ukrainian people never fails to inspire. This commemorative stamp will also feature a creative sketch – chosen from a wide array of entries.
That’s right. Ukraine has made it a special contest. Who can sketch the artwork to be featured on these lovely stamps? The stamp will be honoring soldiers who, according to reports, cussed out Russian forces in the early days of the Putin invasion.
“With this stamp, you can send letters and postcards even abroad. And most importantly, they will have a sewn-in message that you already know well: Russian warship, go f#ck yourself.”
Who would ever have thought the simple act of putting a stamp on an envelope could become such a rallying cry? There appears to be quite a demand for these soon-to-be-released stamps. Many have entered the contest. And I am sure many will want these stamps. So let’s all say it together: Russian warship, go f#ck yourself.
