Ugly new mess for Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The lies of Greg Abbott are massive and all over the place. Like fireflies, they glint — pouring in about literally everything. It seems every week there is a new Abbott lie to write about. But this one is particularly sad.

Everybody remembers the massive Texas storms where the power grid failed, and many Texans died. This was Abbott’s fault. The grid failed because of massive demand, and once again, a catastrophe happened on Abbott’s watch. And Abbott assured Texans the grid was fixed. It won’t happen again, Mr. ‘I’m gonna catch all rapists,” said confidently. He spoke too soon because, of course.

ERCOT — The Electric Reliability Council of Texas — has made a plea to Texans to lower and conserve their use of power. Why? Because Texans are in danger of rolling blackouts. It looks the the fix was in alright — only not the fix for the power grids.

Texas isn’t in a position that other states are in. Most other states can “borrow” power from each other. Not so Texas, which has its own grid and is notoriously independent about the way they operate the grids.

These are the words of ERCOT: “A projected reserve capacity shortage with no market solution available.” Short and not so sweet. Texans — listen up — do you think ANYTHING like this would EVER happen under Beto’s leadership?

It would not. Beto gives a damn about the people he represents. He doesn’t lie nor condescend — he cares. That’s a big difference. Why would you vote for Abbott? The man has pretty much made it clear he DOESN’T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU. You would not befriend someone who didn’t care what happened to you.

You wouldn’t marry someone who doesn’t give a damn about you. Why then would you vote for someone as Governor whose primary accomplishment seems to be letting down the people of Texas — over and over and over again?
