Ugly new blow for Donald Trump
I believe that the words “Trump” and “loser” go hand in hand. Being a loser is most definitely Donald Trump’s port of call. It’s his destination, his lot in life. It would appear everybody knows it but him. And now, the insurrectionist has suffered yet another humiliation. One of his endorsed Congressional candidates has been kicked off the ballot.
This happened in the state of Tennessee. Morgan Ortagus is the name of the candidate. She, along with two others, has seen her name removed from the state’s ballot.
The reason Tennessee Republicans wanted to remove her is that Ortagus had only just moved to the state, quite recently. And Republicans can have a candidate removed for “failing to adhere to the party’s bylaws.”
One of those rules is that a candidate must have voted in three of the last four GOP primaries. Donald Trump is not going to like this. Ortagus certainly didn’t, and in her statement, she name-dropped Trump:
“I am deeply disappointed in the SEC’s decision. I’m a bonafide Republican by their standards and, frankly, by any metric … I’m further disappointed that the party insiders at the Tennessee Republican party do not seem to share my commitment to President Trump’s America First agenda.”
It’s war! Trump is not having an easy time of it in his recent endorsements. Maga is turning on him, angry at his endorsement of Mehmet Oz, JD Vance and others. Other candidates who worked hard for his endorsement and did not get it are also annoyed. And now we have this. Perhaps Trumpism really is fading into nothingness. Perhaps Trump’s new port of call will be: Donald WHO?
