U.S. Attorney orders investigation into Donald Trump regime’s criminal antics in Portland
At this point it’s difficult to even figure out what’s going on in Portland. It appears that Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security and the Border Patrol are using official or unofficial agents to essentially kidnap peaceful protesters and take them away in unmarked cars. The whole thing is straight out of the Gestapo.
Numerous public figures have sounded the alarm about the psychotically criminal acts that the Trump regime is carrying out in Portland, including Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley. Now Billy Williams, the U.S. Attorney for Oregon is calling for an investigation into what’s going on, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.
This is a big deal because the U.S. Attorney is a criminal prosecutor, which means by definition he’s ordering his office to carry out a criminal investigation into what the Trump regime is doing in Portland. He also has the power to bring criminal charges against any federal agents who have acted illegally.
Billy Williams does answer to Attorney General Bill Barr, but there is no indication (yet) that Barr intends to run interference. The criminal acts in this instance are being carried out not by DOJ but by DHS, which is being run by Acting Secretary Chad Wolf, who is an all-around criminal thug in his own right.
We’ll see how this shakes out. But whenever the Trump regime tries to flex its authoritarian muscles like this, and the public pushes back, the Trump regime typically remembers it doesn’t have any such muscles – and it backs down. For instance, after public pushback against the Trump regime’s use of tear gas against peaceful protesters outside the White House, the regime backed down. As always, the key is to keep pushing back against these deranged antics as loudly as possible. Stay safe.
