U.S. Attorney abruptly resigns as Donald Trump’s endgame scheme unravels

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When Donald Trump called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger over the weekend and demanded that the election be overturned, Trump tried to drag Atlanta-area U.S. Attorney BJay Pak into the conspiracy. Now Pak has abruptly resigned today.

No reason has been given for the resignation; Pak was already set to be out of office in sixteen days, but now it appears that he simply decided he didn’t want to be part of this mess.

There’s no risk that this opens the door for Trump getting Pak’s replacement to somehow magically indict his enemies. Pak wouldn’t have bailed early if he thought that would happen. And even if Trump tried to force someone to bring illegitimate criminal charges right now, the whole thing would be shut down when Trump is gone in sixteen days anyway. Instead, Pak’s resignation is just a sign that Trump’s endgame scheming is falling to pieces.
