Donald Trump throws utterly bizarre Twitter tantrum

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has 78 million Twitter followers, and most of them appear to be fake. For reference, Joe Biden only has 5 million Twitter followers, yet Trump’s tweets only tend to get about twice as many likes as Biden’s tweets on average. But while Trump’s follower count is a lie, the number of people he follows is very real: 47. Except, oops, it’s now 46.

Donald Trump has just unfollowed his old friend Piers Morgan on Twitter. According to the Trump Alert bot, he did it just a few minutes after his disastrous, aborted press briefing ended today. This comes days after Morgan publicly criticized Trump’s failed handling of the coronavirus response.

This can only be seen as a tantrum on Trump’s part, and a particularly insecure one at that. He’s the President of the United States, yet he can’t handle a bit of criticism from a longtime friend? It’s also notable that it took Trump days to finally make this happen. Is he that far removed from the news cycle that it took him this long to finally hear what Piers Morgan said about him? In any case, this is just pathetic.
