Twitter just slapped a warning label on yet another of Donald Trump’s phony tweets
Even as Donald Trump continues to ramp up his empty threats against the social network, Twitter isn’t backing down. Trump has taken to obsessively retweeting President Barack Obama’s estranged half brother Malik Obama, who frequently posts dishonest pro-Trump propaganda. Twitter isn’t letting Malik, or Trump, get away with it.
Malik Obama tweeted a doctored video which falsely showed Joe Biden stumbling and stammering for two minutes straight on The View. Donald Trump then retweeted it, adding “Crazy!” Twitter ultimately slapped a “manipulated media” warning” on Malik’s tweet.
Twitter just keeps cracking down further on Trump’s false tweets. Last night Trump insisted that Twitter had behaved in “illegal” fashion by removing one of his campaign videos, even though it clearly committed a copyright violation, meaning Trump was the one who broke the law. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey then quickly fact checked Trump in real time.
