Twitter cracks down on violent Donald Trump tweet

It’s happened yet again. As part of his escalating threats against America, Donald Trump has posted yet another explicitly violent tweet. This time he threatened to use “serious force” against peaceful protesters. And once again, Twitter ended up cracking down on his tweet.

Here’s what Trump tweeted today: “There will never be an “Autonomous Zone” in Washington, D.C., as long as I’m your President. If they try they will be met with serious force!” But here’s what that tweet looks like now:

You can still click past the warning label and read the tweet, but all likes and comments have been removed. There are those who argue that Twitter should be deleting Donald Trump’s violent tweets entirely, and suspending his account for violating the rules. But at least Twitter is now actively and repeatedly taking action against Trump, signaling that it’s not afraid of him.
