Twitter cracks down on Donald Trump
Earlier today Donald Trump posted a tweet in which he falsely claimed that he’s now cured of coronavirus and “immune” to coronavirus. As Palmer Report pointed out at the time, nothing works this way, and we wondered if Twitter would let the tweet stand.
Sure enough, Twitter has now cracked down, placing a warning label over Trump’s tweet and obscuring it. This establishes a precedent that Twitter isn’t going to allow Trump to pretend that he’s cured and immune to coronavirus – and that’s a good thing.
