Jim Jordan gives bizarre TV interview after fifth accuser comes forward in sexual abuse scandal
Republican Congressman Jim Jordan wants you to believe that time machines are real. That’s the only conclusion we can come up with, after his bizarre appearance tonight on Fox News, which saw him pushing one of the strangest conspiracy theories we’ve heard in awhile. Five former Ohio State wrestlers have now come forward to assert that they told Jordan that a team doctor was sexually abusing them. Now Jordan is stooping to a new low while trying to fend off the scandal.
Jim Jordan, a far-right extremist who is personally aligned with Donald Trump, has spent months trying to use his position in the House sabotage the investigation into the Trump-Russia scandal. Now that Jordan’s sexual abuse scandal is exploding, he’s trying to tie these two things together. Lawyers for Ohio State University have confirmed that years ago, they informed Jordan by email that the abuse scandal was going on. This blows Jordan’s claim out of the water that he wasn’t aware at the time. So how’s he trying to worm his way out of this? By spinning it into a Trump-Russia conspiracy.
Jordan appeared on-air tonight with Fox News host Bret Baier, and asserted that he never received the email in question, claiming that it was sent to a “nonexistent” email address. He then insinuated that this was done on purpose in order to frame him, while trying to tie lawyers in question to the Trump-Russia dossier.
At this point Jim Jordan’s defense is that Trump-Russia investigators wanted him out of the way, so they fired up their time machine, went back in time a couple decades, and framed him. If this is the best defense he can come up with, not only will he be gone from Congress soon, he’ll end up in prison eventually.
