Donald Trump goes completely berserk after realizing Joe Biden is beating him on TV ads
When the news broke this past week that the Donald Trump 2020 campaign was going dark on its TV advertising in Arizona, it was the latest sign that the campaign is simply broke. The campaign seems to be trying to delude Trump into thinking this isn’t the case, by running TV ads heavily in the local Washington DC area, so Trump will see them while binge-watching cable news at the White House.
The trouble with this strategy is that Trump is now traveling around a bit, which means he’s watching television outside the DC market. Last night he got a glimpse of what the nationwide TV advertising market looks like, and let’s just say he’s not happy that Joe Biden is massively oustspending him on TV ads, with more effective ads to boot.
Trump tweeted this: “Just landed in Nevada but while on Air Force One watched most vicious TV commercial I have ever seen. Pathetic Joe’s people placed an unsourced ad where they have me saying unthinkable things about soldiers while standing over their graves. It is a MADE UP LIE. A TOTAL CON JOB!”
This is clearly the reaction of someone who is shocked and angered to find out that Joe Biden is running heavy TV ads everywhere, and that they’re hard hitting. Donald Trump’s babysitters appear to keep feeding him the comforting narrative that Biden is locked up in his basement, making no effort, and losing badly. Meanwhile back in the real world, Biden is winning – and he’s doing so in aggressive fashion.
