Turns out Trump election lawyer Jenna Ellis is totally screwed

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis wrote a memo about how Pence should overthrow the election, per ABC News. The timing of this news couldn’t be any worse for her. The 1/6 committee will subpoena her, and she’ll have to either cooperate or go to prison for contempt. Here’s what’s remarkable about this.

Just as Trump lawyers like Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and Lin Wood were ramping up their post-2020 election criminal antics, Jenna Ellis made a point of publicly distancing herself from the lot of them. It appeared she managed to get out just in time, and was off the hook.

But this memo of hers means she could be in even more legal trouble than some of the other Trump election lawyers. The memo was part of a criminal conspiracy to commit election fraud, meaning she’s legally responsible for that conspiracy. If she wants any hope of getting off the hook, she’ll have to come clean and sell everyone else out.

Given how quickly Jenna Ellis threw the other Trump lawyers under the bus last time, hopefully she’ll do it again – and throw Donald Trump under the bus as well. Much as we’d all love to see a villain like Ellis go to prison, that’s far less important than seeing the biggest players in the 2020 election overthrow plot go to prison instead. It’ll be her choice to make, and someone will lose.
