Turns out the election was a blowout
– Joe Biden is now ahead of Trump by 4.5 million votes and counting. The margin of victory will likely end up being closer to 7 million votes, once slow-counting California gets all its votes counted. In historical context, this was not a close election. It was a blowout. If the votes had been counted in a normal order, it would have been obvious all along.
Biden has now been named the winner of Nevada. It’s close in Arizona but Biden will likely hang on. Biden appears to be on track to win in Georgia. This isn’t going to end up being particularly close in the Electoral College either.
If you’re wondering about whether the Democrats have a chance in the Senate runoff races in Georgia, consider this: Joe Biden just won Georgia. Of course the Senate races are winnable for the Democrats. Get to know Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.
