Turns out the DOJ has another grand jury targeting Donald Trump’s financial fraud

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as the DOJ files an appeal to work around a rogue judge and bring Donald Trump to justice for stealing classified documents, the DOJ has also been pursuing Trump with a separate grand jury criminal probe into Trump’s election plot. But now it turns out the DOJ has had yet another grand jury criminally investigating Trump.

The DOJ has been sending out grand jury subpoenas aimed at piecing together how Donald Trump has been using his Save America PAC to fraudulently raise money by pretending he won the 2020 election, according to a new report from ABC News. Why is this a big deal?

Trump’s other crimes, ranging from espionage to seditious conspiracy, are far more egregious than Trump’s ongoing petty fraud. But as we’ve seen time and again, including with Steve Bannon this week, it’s quicker and easier to nail someone for financial fraud than it is to nail them for qualitative crimes like espionage and sedition.

Notably, this DOJ grand jury reportedly began sending subpoenas a few weeks ago – right around the time the DOJ carried out a search and seizure warrant at Trump’s home. It’s starting to feel like the DOJ may be timing these probes to line up together, so it can hit him with all the charges at once. Stay tuned.
