Turns out Donald Trump confessed his January 6th guilt to Kevin McCarthy

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. When the audio recording surfaced yesterday of Kevin McCarthy having stated his intent to seek Donald Trump’s resignation over the Capitol attack, it raised several questions. Who in the House Republican caucus has been secretly recording McCarthy? (Liz Cheney says it’s not her). How many more tapes are there? And was the first one the biggest bombshell, or are there more to come?

Now we know that there are in fact more tapes, and if anything, the bombshells may be getting bigger. CNN just played an audio recording of Kevin McCarthy saying that Donald Trump “told me he does have some responsibility for what happened” in relation to January 6th. To be clear, this is a confession to a crime – and this recording means McCarthy is a material witness.

No wonder Kevin McCarthy is so afraid to testify to the January 6th Committee. The political fallout for McCarthy is obviously going to be massive, and testifying would make things even uglier for him. But this goes beyond politics. We now have proof that Trump confessed his guilt to McCarthy. We’re talking about the DOJ subpoenaing McCarthy to testify in any criminal case being built against Trump and so on – and if McCarthy knows that if he lies to the DOJ, he goes to prison for it. This mess just keeps getting uglier for him.
