It’s clear to everyone by now that Ron DeSantis is a bumbling idiot who’s always been in way over his head. It’s even been starting to look like he might be a mere puppet of his wife, Casey DeSantis, who seems to be calling the shots. But as it turns out, she’s quite the bumbler as well.
Ron and Casey DeSantis apparently have a secret plan to rig the Iowa caucus by bringing in people from outside Iowa. We know this because Casey DeSantis announced today that they have a secret plan to rig the Iowa caucus by bringing in people from outside Iowa. No really, she did this. The announcement prompted the Iowa GOP to announce that people from outside Iowa are not allowed entry into Iowa caucus precincts.
If you’re going to try a secret evil plan, step one is to not announce that secret evil plan in advance. It’s not clear what Ron and Casey DeSantis were hoping to accomplish by bringing people from outside Iowa to the caucus. When these people were turned away, were they then going to claim that the caucus was rigged against DeSantis? That’s dumb. But by revealing the secret plan in advance, they’ve blown even that chance. Ron DeSantis is an idiot, and now we see who he gets it from.
