Turn out the lights Ron DeSantis is over

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s being whispered about everywhere in political circles. The unthinkable is happening “Is he over” go the shocked and panicked whispers. “Is it really happening? Is Ron DeSantis — a loser?” I can confidently answer these whispers. Yes, he is.

The fact is Ron DeSantis — at least the DeSantis of Republican pipe dreams — never existed. He was a mirage, a fantasy, a made-up person. These Republicans, along with many in our media who colluded with them, created — Superman. It’s not hard to do in the world of television. This was the mighty Ron! The sum of all things winnable.

He was a strong and able man who would come in and vanquish the enemy, easily winning the primary and then the White House. There was just one problem. The man didn’t exist. Of course, WE knew that. And we tried to warn people. We tried to tell the truth about this candidate. Superman, he was not. Super-goofball, however, he certainly was — and is.

Reports are DeSantis has laid off many campaign staffers. This is because he doesn’t have the money to pay them. He’s all cashed out. Bye-bye Birdie. Bye-bye, campaign staff. Rumors are there might be MORE to let go.

AND they’re struggling to meet their financial goals. Donors are fleeing. The bottom line is the DeSantis campaign is falling apart in real-time.

We knew it would happen but this quickly? At this rate, Ron might not make it to Iowa. Now DeSantis is trying to change the narrative of his campaign. And he’s screwing that up as well. He is now set to sit down with CNN’s Jake Tapper in his first major Non-Fox interview.

Clearly, he’s trying to be more media-friendly. It won’t work. Sigh. I must admit CNN has been better lately. Not back to where they were, but better. But the ratings are not showing it. CNN’s ratings are still in free-fall. And their town halls and candidate interviews are KNOWN for crashing and burning. If Ron thinks this move will help him, he’s sorely mistaken.

One has to SEE an interview for it to be helpful, and I highly doubt many will be watching this one. My advice to Ron? Just quit. Now. It isn’t going to get any better for you. You’re OVER, Ronny boy, and deep down, you know it. Just say no to finishing your go-nowhere run and hightail it away from DC.
