Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination hearing postponed
There may be trouble in paradise for at least one of Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees. This is the person whose face launched a thousand clips — clips of news on the lady defending Putin and Assad and trashing the United States.
Senate Democrats have delayed Tulsi Gabbard’s confirmation hearing. Why? Gabbard has not provided the Senate with much-needed material, including her FBI background check results and a pre-hearing questionnaire.
Senate Committee rules require the information to be in Senators’ hands one week before any hearing. Republicans are reportedly quite angry at Democrats and accusing them of playing politics. The only thing Democrats are playing is adherence to the rules they live by. Unlike the GOP, Democrats actually care about the rules, and if Gabbard chooses not to get back to them with the required documents, she really has nobody to blame for the delay but herself.
Meanwhile, Republicans are simply outraged — outraged, I tell you! After all, a pesky little thing like following RULES would not concern a lawless party like the GOP. Republican Senator Tom Cotton (political hack, Arkansas, Trump party) is furious, and he is not holding back at all, blaming Democrats for being careless with America’s safety and national security.
So it’s OUR fault now? Listen, Gabbard, in particular, might have a tough time being confirmed at all, given it’s reported she flopped big time when she visited Senators on the Hill. Few reportedly were impressed with her, and many say she did not come prepared and seemed to have little knowledge about the job she might soon be filling.
It is actually the GOP who are playing politics and who are playing fast and loose with America’s security. This woman is clearly not qualified and her questionable ties to long-held enemies of ours would be enough to raise ANYONE’s concerns — anyone that is who actually cared about America.
