Tucker Carlson suffers another blow, comes closer to cancellation

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Any cable news host can get canceled, regardless of ratings, if enough advertisers pull out at once. Just ask Bill O’Reilly, who lost his Fox News show after he lost so many advertisers to a sexual misconduct scandal, he became unprofitable and Fox pulled the plug on him.

That’s why things just got even dicier for Tucker Carlson. Earlier this week he told his viewers that black people were coming for them, and in response he lost several advertisers all at once. Because of his history of racist remarks, he didn’t have that many major advertisers left, so every time he loses one, it puts him closer to cancellation. Now, Sleeping Giants is confirming that Carlson has also lost Proactiv as an advertiser.

This puts Tucker Carlson even closer to cancellation. From the outside of it, we have no way of knowing precisely where the unprofitability line is that’ll prompt Fox News to dump him. But at this rate, each time he loses yet another advertiser, it pushes him closer to that threshold. Don’t be surprised if Carlson announces a sudden “vacation” while Fox tries to sort out the mess.
