Tucker Carlson just went completely off the deep end

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Since he filled Bill O’Reilly’s old time slot on Fox News, Tucker Carlson has managed to prove himself to be even more dangerous than his predecessor, and probably a much bigger liability for the network that is now facing a $2.7 billion lawsuit for promoting falsehoods about the 2020 election. On Tuesday night, however, he went and did something even dumber – and arguably more dangerous, by attacking health officials and questioning the effectiveness of the COVID vaccine.

It should be a good thing that people are being vaccinated for COVID in record numbers, with the number of vaccinations finally outweighing the number of new cases and hospitalizations for the first time. Yet in his demented tirade, Carlson decided to do the same uninformed song and dance we’ve come to expect – ranting about “Corona law” – insisting that somehow the country can magically reopen and people don’t have to take the vaccine.

It might sound like he’s lost his mind, but it’s actually much worse – he wants to increase the number of cases of COVID with no regard for how many people will die, while also encouraging people to refuse the vaccine – however badly at risk of catching the virus and suffering complications they might be, all in the name of eroding this administration’s progress and helping Republicans take power again in 2022. There have already been boycotts against his advertisers, but if there ever was a moment to push back against them, this is it. Removing this dangerous lunatic and his insane rhetoric from their programming is the very least the network needs to do.
