Trump’s revenge

I would have sworn that the announcer at Trump’s jackbooted fascism parade introduced the historic 1st Cavalry Division as the 1st CALVARY Division. He said it that way twice. Was that just how I heard it or did anyone else notice that?
I was hoping the event would get rained out. Now I’m glad it didn’t. It was an unqualified disaster with low attendance, estimated, generously I think, at 10,000. Trump and his goons were counting on over 200,000. That didn’t stop the chief Trump goon Steven Cheung from lying and saying there were 250,000 attendees.
Meanwhile, something on the order of 5 million people attended the “No Kings” demonstrations across the country. It was a double humiliation for Trump, and despite what he may say publicly, you could see it written on his face: he knows it.
And that is the point I’m leading to. I have had some experience with malignant narcissists in my life, and I can tell you this, no humiliation a narcissist suffers ever goes unpunished. Trump is seething right now. People around him are probably well aware of it. Somebody is going to have to pay — and pay dearly — for Trump’s birthday loss of face, and it ain’t gonna be Trump.
Trump’s revenge may come in the form of additional tariffs, more troops sent to Los Angeles, indictments of his political enemies, threats aimed at America’s allies, and so on. But come it will. There’s an imbalance in Trump’s universe and that imbalance must be rectified.
Trump never lets a slight or an insult or anything go. Nothing ever rolled off his flabby back, and it’s not going to start. You may depend on it. In the coming days Trump is going to do something cruel, maybe even a lot of cruel somethings, and the American people are going to have to pay for letting him down.
