Donald Trump holds bizarre, senile, treasonous press conference about Vladimir Putin

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Earlier today we all learned that Donald Trump had a lengthy phone call with Russian president Vladimir Putin this morning, and that they discussed the Mueller report. After this news surfaced, Trump confessed to it on Twitter, declaring that they had discussed the “Russian hoax.” Now Trump is holding an informal press conference with reporters, and his answers are stunning on multiple levels.

When Donald Trump was asked just now if he asked Putin not to meddle in the 2020 election, he ignored the question. When the same reporter then asked the question again, Trump once again refused to answer it. This means his answer is “no.” Considering that the Mueller report spells out all the ways in which Putin and Russia actively meddled in the 2016 election, and the ways in which the report documents all of the Trump campaign’s efforts to court Russia’s help during that election, Trump’s failure to warn Putin about the 2020 election is treasonous. But it got worse.

At one point Donald Trump said these words about Putin: “He actually sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that ‘it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse.” Wait, Putin smiled? This was a telephone call. How would Trump know if Putin was smiling? Were they on FaceTime? Trump lies constantly, but he’s reached a point where he’s too senile to come up with lies that even make a lick of sense.

Today’s phone call alone is grounds for impeachment, which is now inevitable. It also definitively proves that Donald Trump not only colluded with the Russian government, he’s still colluding with the Russian government – and he considers it such a priority, he’s not even really trying to hide it. This is treason, and nothing short of it.
