Not only are Americans unhappy with the reelection of Donald Trump, but some world leaders don’t seem so happy about it either. The David Pakman Show aired a clip from the Scottish Parliament, who have spoken with Trump since the election. The Daily Record told the full story. Following John Swinney’s congratulations to Trump on his win, co-leader of the Greens party, Patrick Harvie, wrote: “Writing officially, on behalf of the Scottish Government, he wrote that he is sure Scotland’s cultural and social ties with the US will flourish during the presidency of a misogynist, a climate denier, a fraudster, a conspiracy monger, a racist, a far right politician who tried to overturn an election result by both covert threats and by inciting violence. Words fail me.” Harvie continued: “What social and cultural ties does the First Minister really think will benefit from a relationship with such a man?” Ouch. Harvie apparently does not mince words much, but this is only the beginning of the embarrassment caused by most of the American people choosing this man over a more qualified candidate who just happens to be Black and female. We should all hang our heads in shame.

Making matters worse, Trump has been blessed with a Republican Senate and House. Expect them to wreak all kinds of havoc over the next four years. Surprisingly, Bloomberg reported that Exxon’s CEO is pushing back on Trump’s anti-climate change agenda. Darren Woods, the CEO, wants to ensure that Trump keeps the U.S. in the Paris Climate Agreement. He said: “The way you influence things is to participate, not to exit.” He said there are “common sense” ways to balance emission reductions with the need for affordable energy, which makes sense. We need to be a part of this.

At the same time, Business Insider reported that the CEOs of AutoZone, Columbia Sportswear, and Stanley Black & Decker are already talking about raising prices to deal with tariff-happy Trump. So much for Trump stopping inflation. He will make it much worse than it is now, and hopefully, all those people who voted for him will enjoy spending more money on things they need. Even though Trump looks at tariffs as “punishment” to foreign governments, it’s really punishment for the consumers of those products. The only way to combat that is to bring all manufacturing back to the states, even as he’s hell bent on deporting millions. It makes no sense whatsoever, but we’re talking about Donald Trump.

Speaking of deportations, HuffPost reported that Trump’s new “border czar” attended a white supremacist event. Is anyone else out there not surprised? That explains why he’s so tough on immigration. The fewer brown people in the U.S., the better. Homan was invited to speak at the American First Political Action Conference. He, of course, claimed to be ignorant of the organization’s goals. According to HuffPost, his assistant booked the event and may have “mistaken it with another right-wing group.” That makes it better? Buckle up, folks. We will make it through these next four years if we stick together.
