Donald Trump goes crazy on Twitter as he tries to distract from Rudy Giuliani’s latest screw up

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

So much for the theory that Donald Trump is carrying out some brilliant master plan to distract us whenever he sends Rudy Giuliani out there to spew nonsense. Rudy has consistently damaged Trump’s legal prospects, and today he may have done his worst damage of all. By the early evening, the blowback from Giuliani’s latest screw up forced Trump to jump on Twitter and go crazy with tweets in an effort at distracting from Rudy’s distractions.

Rudy Giuliani revealed this morning that, two days before Donald Trump Jr held his treason meeting with the Russians at Trump Tower, the leaders of the Trump campaign held a planning meeting to plot out how to deal with it. This of course incriminated just about everyone in the building, and by the afternoon, Rudy was trying to walk it all back. By that time, Trump had decided that he needed to retake the spotlight for the day, by any means necessary.

Trump started by tweeting something about his flunky, “Judge” Jeanine Pirro. Then he posted this nonsensical rant: “Illegal immigration is a top National Security problem. After decades of playing games, with the whole World laughing at the stupidity of our immigration laws, and with Democrats thinking that Open Borders, large scale Crime, and abolishing ICE is good for them, we must get smart and finally do what must be done for the Safety and Security of our Country!” Then there was something about Rand Paul. Then came something about his new VA Secretary. This was all within a span of about fifteen minutes.

In other words, so much for the idea that Rudy Giuliani is somehow helping Donald Trump by confessing to Trump’s crimes and validating the claims of the key witnesses against him. Even Trump seems to have just figured out that Rudy delivered a bodyblow to Team Trump today.
