Trouble for Donald Trump in New Hampshire

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

New Hampshire is the “Live free or die” state and its Governor, Chris Sununu, is definitely living free. He has thus far refused to endorse Donald Trump. And Trump, along with many other Republican candidates, really want his endorsement. Sununu has close to a 90% favorability rating in the state of New Hampshire. His endorsement would be very powerful for whomever received it.

And the person who receives this endorsement would likely not be Donald Trump. This is because Sununu has just announced the criteria on which he will base his endorsement, and what he wants is to see candidates stand up to Donald Trump. Can you hear the shrieking that is likely going on from Truth Social at this news?

Sununu has long been critical of the Republicans not standing up to Trump. And what he wants to see is assertiveness. Of course he might have better odds of winning Powerball, than ever seeing assertiveness from the Republican Party. However, there are two contenders who ARE standing up to Donald Trump, Chris, Christie, and Asa Hutchinson.

So, if Sununu is serious, I imagine his endorsement might go to one of the two of them. I don’t think Hutchinson has a chance. I’ve always had a funny feeling that Christie might be the last one standing.

I’m not necessarily happy about that because, though I love having him in the race, Christie is entirely too charismatic and I’m not sure I’d want to see him as the Republican nominee

But right now, the Republicans running are fighting for this endorsement. I can’t see Tim Scott, or Nikki Haley or Mike Pence or any of them ever standing up to Trump, so it stands to reason, I don’t see any of them getting this most desirable endorsement.
